Project title

"Development of HIV/AIDS Prevention Services in Olaine 's Low- threshold Center"

Project goal and objectives The main goal of the project is expansion of prevention network in order to attract new clients and reduce HIV/AIDS prevalence among injecting drug users, as well as to improve the low threshold center performance and availability of services.
Results Equipping of Low-threshold Center: renovated rooms, made a separate room for consultations and additional separate room for testing and other medical procedures, renewed equipment in the consultation room, purchased new equipment for testing and medical treatment cabinet.
Published leaflet about Olaines Low-threshold Center's activities and distributed to the clients:
  • number of printed leaflets - 1000;
  • number of distributed leaflets outside the Low-threshold Center - 400;
  • number of distributed leaflets inside the Low-threshold Center - 600.
Held 35 support groups for injecting drug users, 20 support groups for their relatives, 30 individual consultations with specialists.
