"Project on cooperation development between drug addiction treatment sector and Tb patient care sector for limiting spread of HIV/AIDS +TB"

Project goal and objectives Increase accessibility of HIV/AIDS prevention and care services  for TB patients/IDUs and increase accessibility of TB services for drug addicts.
Results
  • Enhanced cooperation between drug addiction treatment sector and Tb patient care sector.
  • Doctors, nurses, social workers (in total 50 persons) from drug addiction treatment sector and Tb patient care sectors have participated in two 2-days seminars on harm reduction, Tb and drug addiction programs.
  • Drug addiction specialist consults patients at Tb clinic once a week.
  • MMT has been recommended for 5 patients.
  • 38 sputum samples have been collected in drug addiction center.
