Project goal and objectives
|
The main goal of the project is to implement long-term pharmacoteraphy for opioid dependent persons in Jurmala. Project objectives:
- To establish methadone cabinet;
- To implement methadone maintenance programme;
- To increase knowledge of personnel;
- To monitor results.

Results
|
- Methadone cabinet is established and equipped (30 Diku str., Jurmala);
- During the project 13 patients have received methadone maintenance therapy (MMT) - everyone had access to drug addiction specialist, psychologist and social worker;
- 4 persons (staff of MMT cabinet) have participated in trainings and seminars organized by UNODC and other institutions;
- Data on clients' health status and treatment results have been collected and analysed.
