| Results |
Implementing the project Charity and Support Fund "KRIS in North - West of Lithuania" provided the following services: 1. Social services in Šiauliai Remand Prison: 1 social worker 1 time a week for 2 hours. Social worker visited remand prison 47 times, 183 inmates participated in the sessions. Main topics: HIV/AIDS prevention, diagnostics, treatment, development of epidemics, etc. 2. Psychological services in Šiauliai Remand Prison: 1 psychologist 1 time a week for 2 hours. Psychologist visited remand prison 42 times, 154 inmates participated in the sessions. Mainly discussions covered HIV/AIDS problems and were related to psychosocial help for risk group members. Mainly those were group consultations, but sometimes there was a need for individual consultations. 3. Social consultations in foundation premises: 1 social worker 1 time a week for 2 hours. 83 individuals came for social consultations, which were mainly individual. Most of the people were referred by Šiauliai Correction Inspection or other NGOs. During the consultations the following areas were covered: social problems, dependency diseases, HIV/AIDS related problems, job search problems and family relation problems, etc. Project participants who were in need were supported with food gathered through "Food Bank" donations. If needed individuals were referred to treatment and rehabilitation centres. Main indicators:
