On 25 August 2014, a one-day International Conference on improving the quality of forensic services was held within the framework of the UNODC Criminal Justice Programme in the Kyrgyz Republic. During the conference, forensic experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia and USA exchanged experiences on quality assurance and harmonization of forensic services, national accreditation systems for forensic science laboratories and new trends in forensics and international cooperation.[Read More]
From 14 to 23 August 14, 2014, UNODC brought together 30 senior managers of police departments from 14 districts and major cities throughout the Kyrgyz Republic and regional representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic's Police Women Association for a training on gender sensitivity.
The training course was organised within the framework of the UNODC Project "Peace and Trust: Equal Access to Law Enforcement and Justice", which is funded by the UN Peace Building Fund.
