Registration

 

Admission to the Congress venue will require the presentation of identification conference badges at all times. In order to be issued a conference badge, all participants must be registered in advance.
Please see below the registration process:

Member States
For registration of Member States' representatives, a note verbale together with the registration form (attached to the invitation letter) containing personal details of all delegates (full name as per passport, title or function, workplace and individual email address) should be sent to the Secretariat of the Congress, with copy to the host country, as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, 3 April 2020. Kindly copy the host country contact to the submission.

UN Bodies and Entities, UN Secretariat, UN Institutes and Specialized Agencies
For registration of participants from the UN Bodies and Entities, UN Secretariat, UN Institutes and Specialized Agencies, information on its participants should be sent by letter with an official letterhead together with the duly completed registration form (attached to the invitation letter) to the Secretariat of the Congress, with copy to the host country as soon as possible, but not later than Friday, 3 April 2020. Kindly copy the host country contact to the submission.

Inter-Governmental Organization
For registration of participants from IGOs who have received the invitation letter from the Secretariat, information on its delegates should be sent by letter with an official letterhead together with the duly completed Registration Form (attached to the invitation letter) to the Secretariat of the Congress with copy to the host country government as soon as possible, but not later than Friday, 3 April 2020. Kindly copy the host country contact to the submission.

Non-Governmental Organizations
For registration of participants from NGOs in consultation status with ECOSOC who have received the invitation letter from the Secretariat, information on the organization's participants should be submitted by letter with an official letterhead, together with the duly completed registration form (attached to the invitation letter) to the Secretariat of the Congress, with copy to the host country, as soon as possible, but not later than Friday, 3 April 2020. Kindly copy the host country contact to the submission.

Information for non-governmental organizations

Individual experts
Individual experts who have received the invitation letter from the Secretariat should send the completed registration form (attached to the invitation letter) to the Secretariat of the Congress, with copy to the host country, as soon as possible, but not later than Friday, 3 April 2020.

Information for individual experts

Other participants
To register support staff (such as interpreters, drivers, embassy staff/security staff), please request a registration form to the Secretariat of the Congress, and submit it together with the note verbale (Government) / official letter (organization) to the Secretariat of the Congress as soon as possible, but not later than Friday, 3 April 2020. Kindly copy the host country contact to the submission.

 

Visa support
Most participants will need a visa to enter Japan.

Registered participants can get visa support from the host country. To facilitate the visa application process, photocopies of the passports of all participants who need to apply for a visa should be sent to the host country contact at the time of registration.

It is recommended to start this process as early as possible.
