Overview of Events
Subregional cooperation was promoted as an effective way to address drug control problems.
The Executive Director met with Gen. Habib El Addle, Minster of Interior, and senior officials. The Minister welcomed the Executive Director initiative to convene a mini-summit for the region's leaders on crime, drugs and terrorism.
The Egyptian Anti-Narcotics General Administration hosted a demand reduction expert meeting, where the Executive Director praised the eradication efforts of the Egyptian Anti-Narcotics General Administration in Sinai.

The Executive Director was interviewed by numerous newspapers, radio and television networks in Egypt, including AL-Ahram, the largest newspaper in the Arab world.
