Overview of events
The Executive Director met with Jordanian government officials. including Jordan's Minister of the Interior, Mr. Naif Al-Qadi, who expressed his appreciation for UNODC's efforts and contribution to the peace in the region.
Dr. Mehdi Ali, UNODC Egypt Office Regional Representative, received an award of honor from Field Marshal Nasuh Mohyiddin, (see photo at left) Director General of Security in appreciation of the support of UNDCP Regional Office to drug control efforts in Jordan.
