Search - Help

The UNODC Legal Library uses  Apache Lucene to provide full-text searching of all available documents and its meta data. The system will help you find the information you are looking for, and maximize the effectiveness of your search, by providing a list of documents related to your search term(s).

Basic Search

Enter a word or phrase in the "Full text" field and click the search button or press the [enter] Key. The system will perform a full-text search in all documents of the entire library.

Keywords Search

The Library is categorized by a system of keywords. You can search these categories by using the keywords field in the search form. The system will assist you in finding available keywords by displaying matches as you start typing three or more characters. You can select a suggested keyword via the cursor keys / [enter] or directly by using the mouse.

Repeat the process for every keyword you want to select. Finally click the search button or press the [enter] Key in order to get the list of documents related to the selected keywords.

Multiple search terms

Multiple search terms (Country, Language, EN/L, Date) will often help refine your search and provide more valuable results than general or single search terms.

The list of results
will be displayed with the total number of matches appearing at the top of the page and will indicate the number of pages of each document.

You will be able to navigate to each page of your results by clicking the page numbers or the [First/Prev] and [Next/Last] links.

The list is sorted by EN/L number, but you may also sort the list by Title, Country, Language or Year.
