26th June 2007 - Bhutan Narcotic Control Agency launches website

On June 26th, coinciding with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Bhutan Narcotic Control Agency launched its website as one of the activities for observation of this day. The website was launched by the Chairman of the Narcotic Control Board amidst a gathering of board members and other dignitaries from the government and NGOs.

The website was developed and funded by UNODC, ROSA, New Delhi. The website not only contains information about the agency, it has provided a portal for recovering addicts where they can share their experiences, their trials, tribulations and triumphs. Through the recovering network, information can be accessed by people who are affected by this menace of drug abuse, individuals, parents, teachers and all concerned and seek help and information.
