Evening Cultural Programme, 26 June 2008, Kamini Auditorium, N. Delhi

In collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), Government of India, an evening cultural programme was organized at Kamani auditorium, New Delhi, on the evening of June 26 2008. The program was presided over by distinguished dignitaries such as Smt. Meira Kumar, Hon'ble Minister, Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Arbind Prasad, Joint Secretary, Minister Social Justice and Empowerment, Ms. Ashita Mittal, Officer-in-Charge, UNODC. The gathering was addressed by eminent personalities, including Ms. Meira Kumar, Hon. Minister, Social Justice and Empowerment. In the same event, Dr. A. Jayanta Kumar Singh, recipient of "Padmashree" 2008- eminent personalities from various fields are conferred with this prestigious award every year in recognition of their services - was felicitated for his contributions to the field of Drug Demand Reduction.

The cultural evening had performances such as a skit by Kaleidoscope Entertainment Ltd. and a dance performance by the students of National School of Drama trained artistes on drug abuse prevention.
