To mark the occasion, UNODC, as the custodian of the
United Nations Convention against Corruption, is organizing a day long
seminar, entitled "You can stop corruption- your NO counts", on 8th December 2008, at UN Conference Hall, 55 Lodi Estate, New Delhi, from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m (
click here for agenda). The event will be partnered by the
Central Vigilance Commission and
UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan.
UNODC is pleased to inform that
Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India, has kindly consented to be the chief guest of the inaugural session.
The seminar has been structured around the following
three sub themes :
- Addressing corruption in public and private sector
- Access to Information as a tool for fighting corruption
- E-Governance as a tool to enhance transparency
The audience would include a cross section of the stakeholders looking forward to a serious debate on the subject.
