The comprehensive awareness campaign ("I Decide") launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, under
project G86 "Empowering Communities for Prevention of Drugs and HIV in India" developed IEC materials to spread the message of primary prevention across the country. The 'I Decide' leaflets developed under project IND/G86 aim to educate people about the types of drugs, harmful affects of drugs, link between drugs and HIV etc.
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), Bangladesh under the peer led intervention component of
project RAS/H71, was keen to adapt and reproduce this material into Bangla since it was found to be very informative and useful for young people. Very recently, these leaflets have been developed into Bangla and are being widely used.
