Mr. Uday Narayan Chaudhry, Hon'ble Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly and Mr. Sushil Modi, Deputy CM of Bihar, jointly released posters on anti-human trafficking in Nepali and Hindi, during a two day (12-13 January 2008) Multi Stakeholders meeting at Patna. Both the posters were translated from the existing posters (8 in total) developed by Project S16 of UNODC in consultation with various stakeholders. The posters highlight different themes of anti human trafficking and aim to generate public awareness to prevent and combat human trafficking.

According to UNODC official, Dr. P. M. Nair, "Since India is a diverse country with different languages there is a persistent demand for translating these posters into regional languages. The Church of North India (CNI) came forward to join hands with UNODC and undertake the translation and printing of some into Nepali and Hindi." He further mentioned, "The posters in Nepali will be of immense use in creating public awareness against human trafficking among all stakeholders, not only in Nepal but also in the Nepali speaking areas of Bihar and West Bengal."
