Smart Card on Anti Human Trafficking
Project S16 (Anti Human Trafficking) team has come out with a pocket size card, aptly described as 'Smart Card', which is a ready reckoner on the issues and dimensions on human trafficking. On the one side it gives a clear and brief picture on the UN Protocol on Trafficking in Persons and on the other side a similar picture of the Indian legal regime in such a way that even a lay person will be able to understand as to what is human trafficking. This card launched by Mr. Gary Lewis, Representative, UNODC ROSA has been well appreciated by the end users. The card which is of 3.5" by 4.5" dimension is laminated and is not only user friendly but also durable. This could be distributed in any fora as a tool for public awareness. Considering the utility of the Smart Card, several stakeholders have requested for its translation into local languages.
