The 2nd International Conference on Health in prison was attended by approximately 130 representatives from about 30 countries, mainly Europe, US and Australia. The meeting was also attended by representatives from UNESCO and WHO HQ and EURO office. Dr. Fabienne Hariga presented, as a key-note presentation, the
UNODC / WHO / UNAIDS framework for HIV prevention, care treatment and support in prison settings. The UNODC programme on prisons in ROSA was
presented by
Dr. Jayadev Sarangi, UNODC prison expert in ROSA office in the workshop on "Health, work and learning in prison"(
www0.bcu.ac.uk
/crq/conference/programme.htm). ROSA publications including the prison module for South Asia and the Peer Guide were disseminated to all participants at the Conference.
