Commissioner Meets Senior Officials of UNODC
Commissioner met with senior officials of United Nations Office on Drug and Crime today. In the meeting held at Shaheedh Hussein Adam Building's conference hall today, project incharge for "Precursor control in South Asia and South West Asia", Mr. Rajiv Walia of the project targeted to South Asia and South West Asia by United Nations Office on Drug and Crime attended the meeting. Drug Demand Reduction Officer Mr. Kunal Kishor appointed for Maldives by UNODC also attended the meeting.
The status of Narcotics abuse in Maldives and preventive measures were discussed. Also ways in which UNODC can assist Maldives to overcome the issues related to narcotics were discussed.
Senior Deputy Commissioner of Police Abdul Shakoor Abdulla and other senior officers of Maldives Police Service took part in the meeting.
