A one day workshop on "HIV and drug control for mass media"

UNODC, UNAIDS, the Journalists Society - Gorgan Branch - and provincial Welfare Organization co-sponsored a one-day seminar on "HIV and drug control for mass media", which was held in Gorgan on 19 July 2006. Journalists from Gorgan, demand reduction experts and representatives from local NGOs active in demand reduction and HIV control participated in this seminar. The members of the UN Joint Team on AIDS in Iran provided training on HIV, drugs and relevant media aspects. A panel consisting of experts from HIV and drug control and mass media discussed and clarified issues brought up by the participants.
