Such interventions often resulted in little behavioral change. Now, through scientific advances, drug prevention has come a long way. Science-based prevention strategies working with families, schools and communities can ensure that children and youth, especially the most marginalized and poor, grow and stay healthy and safe into adulthood and old age.&lt;/p&gt;

Policy-makers will meet in Vienna from 11 to 15 March to discuss issues ranging from international cooperation in combating drugs to public health and safety concerns, including the threat of new psychoactive substances.&lt;/p&gt;

The posters showed the impact of Opium, Heroin and Crack Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Ecstasy, Cannabis in addition to Cigarettes and Alcohol.&lt;/p&gt;

Evidence points to the interconnectedness of transnational organized crime, with networks employing the same routes and modus operandi to move cultural property as they use to move drugs, illicit arms and other materials.&lt;/p&gt;
