Call for proposals for funding preventive actions of STD / HIV / AIDS and Viral Hepatitis during celebrations of 2013´s Gay Pride

Will be allocated R$ 1.300.000,00 for civil society organizations, working in the field of AIDS, other STDs and viral hepatitis, with a minimum of 03 years' experience regarding the population mentioned on this Call for Proposals.

4 December 2012 - Non-governmental organizations acting in the area of AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases and viral hepatitis can now apply for this funding program focused on preventive actions of STD / HIV / AIDS and Viral Hepatitis during the celebration of LGBT pride, concerning the period of April to December 2013. The proposals must be submitted until January 4th, 2013. In total, will be invested R$ 1,300 million. The initiative comes from the Department of STD, AIDS and Viral Hepatitis, Secretariat of Health Surveillance, Ministry of Health, in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Will be prioritized proposals within one or more of the following activities:

• Focus on the prevention of STD / HIV / AIDS / HIV and promote the health of LGBT people;
• Promote the campaign "Fique Sabendo";
• Encourage HIV testing and early diagnosis for HIV, syphilis and viral hepatitis, and
• Encourage the implementation of actions for Viral Hepatitis.
Proposals must be submitted by civil society organizations having a minimum of three years of experience in activities related to the subject matter of this Call for Proposals and, the maximum value for each proposal will be R$ 30.000,00. The result of this technical selection will be released until January 30th, 2013.
