First National Forum on Academic Analysis and Debate: "Juvenile Offender: victim or criminal"

Thursday, 5 August.- Along today and tomorrow will be held the first National Forum on Academic Analysis and Debate: "Juvenile Offender: victim or criminal" in Mexicali. This forum is addressed to civil servants, pupils, academicians and everyone involved in children and youth development.
From UNODC will attend Ms. Rubi Blancas, National Programme Officer, as part of the panel "Juvenile Offender: an institutional vision", based on the important role of the public security corporations in México and in the world, due to their capacities and tools to analyze the several variables in order to achieve a diagnosis on different needs and/or social problems that affect us.


The main objective is to know the action perspective and interpretation from several institutions linked to crime and youth, as well as to obtain first-hand information around their posture and the advocated assistance towards youth linked or affected by crime.


Ms. Rosa María Solis Rodríguez, State coordinator in charge of the pilot programme Attention to Youth and Domestic Violence; Jorge Emilio Iruegas  Álvarez, Director  of the implementation of the new criminal justice system of the Attorney General of the State of Baja California (PGJE for its acronym in spanish); and Arturo Ybarra Aguilera, from the area of Strategic Project Development of the Cetys Universidad  will join the panel.
