The outcry of the youth that resounded in the skies of Egypt since the 25th of January 2011 Revolution to eliminate corruption has not ebbed yet. In fact, the need to prevent and fight corruption is now articulated more than ever at all levels of the Egyptian society, but mainly within the circles of youth.

The Iraqi Government has made notable progress in its fight against human trafficking through the accession to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC) in March 2008, and to its supplementing Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants Protocols in February 2009, as well as through the adoption of Anti-Trafficking Law No. 28 in 2012, and the establishment of an interministerial committee responsible for coordinating anti-human trafficking efforts in the country. Nine December is the International Anti-Corruption Day. United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) have since 2009 promoted global public campaigns to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day and make it a powerful day of action against corruption.
UNDP and UNODC wish to continue the mobilization of the public and strengthening state and non-state actors' commitment to address corruption through International Anti-Corruption Day Campaigns. Therefore, UNDP and UNODC wish to engage the youth in Egypt, through an open competition, to develop innovative social initiatives to address and fight corruption.[Read More]
