Printing Reports using Corel� WordPerfect� 8.0
Using NDS-32, one can print reports (Form A, Form B, Form C, Form A/P, Form B/P, Form P and Form D) using Corel� WordPerfect 8.0.

Drop-Downs in Query Mode
In NDS-32, drop-downs are provided for specifying the query criteria, as available in the data entry mode. The search facility is carried forward to the query mode in case of drop-downs as used in the data entry mode.

Search on Code / Name in Drop-Downs
Using NDS-32, once can use the drop-downs provided in query mode and data entry mode to specify a value for the respective field. Search facility has been provided on the drop-downs for two fields, i.e. code and name. One can set the order in which the system should perform the search from the system menu.

Context Sensitive Help
Context sensitive help has been provided for every field in NDS-32. The help is language dependent and will work in the current language set for the system. The data to be displayed in the context sensitive help screen can be customized by the database administrator. This facility will be provided in the Parameters module. The facility is similar to the facility provided in the current version of NDS (version 3.3e) for fields and forms.

Scrollbars
Scrollbars are provided for every logical group in case of transaction screens. Scrollbars are provided in two ways, a) Auto-Scrollbar and b) Fixed Scrollbar. The auto-scrollbars will appear only when the number of records exceed the screen limit whereas in cases where fixed-scrollbars have been provided, these will be available throughout the session. The header screen can be operated only from the toolbar. The functionality provided on the scrollbars for navigation is also available on the toolbars.

Operands for Quantity and Date
In NDS-32, one can specify operands for Quantity and Date fields. An example of the same is given below.

In case of import details, if one needs to see the records where quantity is between 1000 and 2000, following are the steps to follow;

1. Enter the query mode
2. Place the cursor on the quantity field and type

>1000

3. Place the cursor on the quantity field in the second record and type AND < 2000

Perform the query and the results will display records where quantity is between 1000 and 2000

The same applies to the date fields. The format that should be used for specifying dates in queries are

‘DD-MMM-YYYY’; for e.g. ‘01-JAN-2000’

Operators for Query
Using NDS-32, One can use operators in queries. The AND operator is as specified in the Operands for Quantity and Date section. In case of the OR operand, the keyword to be used is IN.

For e.g. To retrieve data for Argentina and Switzerland, where the country codes are ARG and SWI respectively, the query be as follows;

IN (‘ARG’,’SWI’)

Auto Save for Tab-Folders
In NDS-32, movement across tab folders in transaction mode has been provided with a facility of Auto-Save. If data entered is complying with the business validations, one can move from one tab folder to another without clicking on the save button.

Using NDS-32, one can specify query criteria in both master as well as detailed screen at the same time.

Multiple Login Screen
In NDS-32, the user does not have to login multiple times, if the user has logged in one of the modules and launches another module while the previous module is open, and the system uses the same login parameters. This feature is available from version 2.0 of the prototype and is currently under testing.

Color change for Quantity Fields
If the entered quantity and the aggregated quantity does not match, the system displays the aggregated quantity in RED Color. This feature will be available only for transaction based screens in NDS-32 (i.e. Forms)
