NDS Team Installs NDS 4.0.4 in France The NDS team visited France from 26th March - 7th April 2001. The team installed NDS 4.0.4 in a multi-user environment. The old French system's data get migrated into NDS successfully. The data migration exercise was limited to masters data. Moreover, the import/export documents of NDS were customized to meet the French standards. The team of the Narcotics department received comprehensive training in using NDS. Furthermore, the NDS project manager met with the deputy director of the agency and discussed future cooperation. The NDS project manager assured the deputy director of the full cooperation of the NDS team in supporting the staff of the narcotics department in using NDS. It has been decided to deploy NDS for a test phase of two months. The second phase would be doing a more comprehensive data migration of the old system's data into NDS. At that point, a decision would be made on the extent that NDS should be used in France. |
