NDS Presentation for Eastern Africa
The NDS team made a presentation of the system in the meeting of the heads of drug regulatory authorities of 13 Eastern African Countries.  The meeting had participants from WHO, INCB, and AFDRAN.

The meeting was the opening session for a project in Eastern Africa to enhance the implementation of licit drug control.  A substantial part of the meeting was devoted to issues related with the computerization of licit drug control activities.  It was recommended by the participants of the meeting to implement NDS in four Eastern African countries as a pilot project within the region with the intention of implementing the system in all of the region at a later stage.  The countries selected by the project for the first phase are: Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
