Short description:
EARYN seeks to enhance Eastern Africa's resource development and youth participation in Drug abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention, while strengthening governance in abuse reduction and harm prevention. Moreover, it promotes democratic values within national and regional networks, and tries to unite regional youth organizations. The ultimate objective is the creation of socially responsible communities and the empowerment of young and affected people toward positive change.
The Eastern Africa Regional Youth Network covers the following countries:
Comoros, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mauritius, Madagascar, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania and Uganda.
More than 200 youth organizations and groups are actively involved in the network.
