||Break The Chain Campaign (BTCC), a project of the Institute for Policy Studies, takes a unique, holistic approach to addressing a global problem: the exploitation and abuse of migrant women workers.
BTCC combine survivor-focused direct services, community outreach and training, and national/international policy advocacy in the overlapping areas of human trafficking, women's rights, worker rights, and immigration reform. BTCC also seek to draw out root causes and influences through the lenses of gender discrimination, armed conflict, climate change, and trade policies.
On the local level, BTCC is specifically focused on rehabilitation, empowerment and acquisition of justice for trafficked and exploited migrant women workers from the African and South Asian communities of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
