Networking between community-based women groups and individuals, including exchange between urban-based, more experienced NGOs and local women groups in remote, rural areas who are committed to trafficking prevention.
Transfer of knowledge and/or joint cooperation between women groups, NGOs, experts and government or public authorities responsible for implementing existing laws/plans of action (including provincial, local authorities).
Promoting human rights based approach to women trafficking.
We appeal for a common understanding that women's trafficking is a gender based violence and women`s rights violation.
Anti-trafficking programs and migration legislation should underline a comprehensive victim-centered approach.
The challenge to provide adequate programs on trafficking prevention requires a multi-agency approach - both at the national as well as on the regional level. All relevant actors: non-governmental groups and organizations, national ministries and departments of education, and other governmental institutions should be involved in designing and implementing anti-trafficking responses.
Anti-trafficking programs must be socially adequate, culturally sensitive and sustainable.
