The Federation members and our co-operating partners are located in 25 different Countries and are shown on this web site.

Since its inception the European Federation of Therapeutic Communities has organised 7 European Conferences, the conferences are held bi-annually. The recent Europe Against Drug Abuse conferences on Rehabilitation and Drug Policy have consistently improved in terms of scientific content and real network co-operation, throughout the continent. These conferences have developed to include representatives from all fields of addiction service provision, presenting recent work, advances in research, clinical methodology and practice.

Institutes: In co-operation with The University of Gent, Belgium and CeIs Modena, Italy the E.F.T.C. has organised a number of annual training institutes for staff members and university students from within the Socrates and Erasmus teaching frame work. This has involved collaboration between the E.F.T.C and 10 participating universities.

The E.F.T.C remains closely involved with research initiatives both in Europe and world wide, our recent participation in the BIO -MED 11 research project under the auspices of Prof. Broekaert at the University of Gent and Dr. Charles Kaplin at University of Maastrict. The federation members have once again made a valuable contribution to the field of addiction services.
