||The Garden of Hope Foundation is a non-government, not-for-profit organization established in 1988 to help and empower disadvantaged girls and women in Taiwan, in particular, those living under sexual exploitation and abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking. This includes both Taiwanese and immigrants from Southeast Asian countries.
The Garden of Hope has been recognized by many national and international awards for our organizational achievements and outstanding individual staff. In 2004, the Garden of Hope won the Asia Pacific NGO of the Year Award out of 76 qualified NGOs from the region. In 2005, the Garden of Hope was voted for Ashoka Foundation's Changemakers Innovation Award, and honored by the World of Children with the Kellogg's Child Development Award.
