||FUNDE is an institution that conducts research, formulates socioeconomic policies, lobbies and promotes development, with its target population being the most disadvantaged sectors of society.
FUNDE is a think tank that was founded in 1992, after the signing of the Peace Accords that brought an end to the country´s 12 year-long civil war.
Its mission is to generate thought, analysis and development proposals, and influence different socioeconomic actors and centres of power to improve the living standards of society, particularly amongst the poor and marginalized sectors.
Its organizational structure is as follows: there are 12 members in the General Assembly, 6 members sit on the Board of Directors and 8 members make up the Advisory Council. There are 49 full-time staff members and 10 consultants.
After many years of work, FUNDE has established itself as a solid institution with a marked presence and national influence such that it is considered one of the key points of reference in the national debate on development issues, as well as has achieved an important international presence and recognition.
