||The organization is committed to demonstrate and meet the challenges of poverty within families which affect children up to the extent of child abuse.
ATCN addresses issues of human rights abuses related to the well being of children. Thereby the network tries to consider the complex interrelations of the socio-economic, the cultural and the family relative situation.
The ATCN has published several books on children's rights and distributed over 6000 copies across the globe. The organization latest book “What Trafficking in Human Beings Consists of and How To Stop It – 2010” has received a wide attention not only in Gambia but also in the rest of the sub-region of West Africa, as well as among human rights activists including the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
The organization were the first institution in Gambia to recognise and help rescuing child victims of human trafficking. The organization were involved in the drafting and promulgation of Gambian human trafficking laws by which the organization is addressing issues related to victims of human trafficking.
