||Cross Over Project (COP) is a registered non-profit organization, Registration number: (029-636-NPO) established in 2003 based in the City of Tshwane, South Africa. Prior to obtaining official registration status COP had been operating within the communities mainly providing care and support for the previously disadvantaged communities and underprivileged communities of Khayelitsha in Cape Town. Women and girls were most of COP Patrons with various domestic related issues addressed through COP. COP has approximately 3000 beneficiaries who have benefited positively from the services rendered through COP since its inception especially issues of Gender Violence and HIV/AIDS.
COP’s main objective is to conceptualize and implement combined interventions through programs that provide a safe and supportive environment, access to information, education, including empowerment of Peer Education and Women and Girls in the World of Work.
COP amongst others focuses on youth-specific HIV education, Psycho-social Support and services for victims of violence based abuse of children, girls and women, necessary to develop the life skills required to reduce youth vulnerability to HIV/AIDS.
