||The Institute for Democracy is a non-governmental organization, supporting democratic processes in the Republic of Moldova, the ideas of the open society, protecting the human rights and fighting the trafficking and violence in any forms.
The Institute has an experience in trainings for Transnistria, supported by Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and European Endowment for Democracy, trainings for youth and teachers, supported by US Embassy (3 grants), National Endowment for Democracy, Balkan Trust for Democracy of the German Marshall Fund of the US, supported by Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (5 grants), Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation, United Nations (7 grants), anti-trafficking projects, supported by United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking, OSCE, Royal Norwegian Embassy (2 grants), UK BEARR Trust, OHCHR, OSCE, Oak Foundation; anti-corruptions projects, supported by Eurasia Foundation (3 grants), etc.
The main aims are reducing the level of corruption; assistance to victims of human trafficking; human rights protections and others.
