ForDIA is a not for profit civil society organization established to undertake and coordinate policy research, training, networking and advocacy for good governance.
ForDIA is currently coordinating Tanzania Transparency Forum (TRAFO); Civil Society Index (CSI) task teams, Great Lakes Peace and Security Network (PeSeNet) and the Publish What You Pay (PWYP) Coalition in Tanzania. ForDIA is also representing civil society in the sector-specific transparency mechanisms, namely, Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and the Transport Sector Transparency Initiative (CoST).
Furthermore ForDIA is a member of a local network called Feminist Activism (FemAct), a coalition of more than 50 members. These organizations deal with gender activists; ForDIA has since 2007 designed and implemented a research based on projects about Corruption Perception Surveys (CPS) in 23 districts of Tanzania.
