||CDCP advocated with other Italian organizations for the protection and recognition of the rights of victims of sexual exploitation and contributed to the issuance of the art. 18 of the immigration law 286/98, for the protection of victims of human trafficking. One of the main goals of the Committee is to affirm the civil and human rights of sex workers by raising public awareness and advocate for the recognition of sex workers rights on a national and international scale. It demands the depenalization of prostitution, abolition of mandatory health checks and all kinds of card indexing, the fight against the exploitation and trafficking of human beings coerced into sexual activities.
CDCP onlus combats all forms of discrimination against under represented populations - migrants, SW, MSM, PLWH - and seeks to ensure equal access to health services. Besides the defense of the rights of sex workers, the Committee has also been active in other fields intrinsic to sex work. Since 1986, its members have worked on disseminating information campaigns on HIV/AIDS and on harm reduction aimed at sex workers in general. As one of the founding members of TAMPEP International Foundation in 1993, it also carries out dissemination project on HIV/AIDS in Europe.
