Short description:
COSUN was established in May 2004. It is non-governmental and not for profit. It is non-sectarian but humanitarian. It targets the under privileged and vulnerable persons such as the children, youth, women, the aged, the disabled, the people living with HIV&AIDS and the marginalized citizens. COSUN is a Child Rights and Gender Based Organisation, targeting all Cross Cutting issues.
The NGO's mission is to contribute towards the improvement of quality of life for individuals, families and communities that are affected by, and infected with, poverty and HIV&AIDS.
COSUN has a management and a committed team of youth with an Advisory Board of 6 women and 4 men.
COSUN’s achievements include collaboration with the Government and relevant Civil Society Organisations participation in National and International commemorations. The have a community Anti-Drug and Substance Abuse Committee, identifying, assessing, counselling and treating the children/youth. Prevention of drug and substance abuse is one of the organization's primary concerns.
