Short description:
Mission:
SOCIO Pakistan is dedicated to deliver its best efforts to promote and provide education, basic health, reproductive health & reproductive rights, drug abuse and harm reduction, environment, human rights, human evelopment with community participation and local resource mobilization towards sustainable development and firm commitment to serve all the downtrodden and deserving people without having any discrimination on caste color, creed, religion and ethnicity.
Main activities:
SOCIO Pakistan is an active member of the Asian DDR NGOs Association (ADNA) Network.
-Central and West Asia and Chief Executive Officer SOCIO Pakistan is Vice Chair of ADNA.
-SOCIO Pakistan is implementing prevention of HIV & AIDS among drug users in District Jail, Quetta-Pakistan funded by UNODC-Pakistan. This NGO is providing basic information about HIV, counselling, testing HIV/HBV/HCV, vocational training, World AIDS Day / International Women Day. SOCIO Pakistan is implementing project on People Who Inject drugs (PWIDs) funded by Global Fund against HIV & AIDS/ Tuberculosis and Malaria the principal recipient is Nai Zindagi.
Main achievements:
SOCIO Pakistan has established Asian DDR NGOs Association (ADNA) Network
Central and West Asia SOCIO Pakistan is implementing jail projects in district Quetta since the last 3 years. This NGO has registered more then 500 prisoners and provides above mentioned services to the prisoners. SOCIO Pakistan is working with drug users and their families under the Global fund in two cities of Baluchistan namely Quetta and Turbat.
