"Strengthening Families" Prevention Programme hosts the Training of Trainers Workshop in Guatemala
From 13 to 16 May 2014, the Training of Trainers Workshop of the "Strengthening Families Programme" took place in Guatemala City, within the framework of the cooperation between UNODC-ROPAN and the Executive Secretary against Drug Addictions and illicit Trafficking (SECCATID) of Guatemala. This workshop provided training to 7 facilitators who were certified to train new facilitators in the methodology of the Strengthening Families Programme 10-14 (SFP 10-14) in communities in Guatemala. In this way, the capacity in the country for developing the methodology of the SFP 10-14 is built. At the same time, 12 new facilitators received the first training workshop and they then join the 28 previously trained facilitators who are entitled to execute workshops with families in the communities in the country.
Dr. Leland Molgaard, expert in the methodology of the Strengthening Families Programme 10-14, conducted each of the trainings.
This workshop marked the end of the implementation of the Project in Guatemala, with the conclusion of its three phases: the first facilitators' training, the implementation of the programme in the country through a trained national institution (SECCATID), and the certification of trainers.
