Strengthening Family Programme (SFP 10-14) Training for Afghanistan and Iran

 5-8 September 2016, Tehran, Iran

 

On 5-8 September 2016, a four day Strengthening Family Programme training session for Iran and Afghanistan implementers was held in Tehran, Iran. In total,  30 participants attended the training (21 Iran & 9 Afghanistan). The training began with welcoming speeches from the Sub-Programme 3 Project Coordinator, Mr. Nadeem Rehman and Mr. Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili (Expert-Prevention and Cultural Affairs Dept DCHQ.). The participants for the training session, which were selected from different areas of work such as psychology, education and sociology, were trained by 2 international SFP 10-14 trainers from Great Britain (Ms. Deborah Allen and Mr. Lindsey Coombes) on conducting the seven week session among families. 

During the training session, several recommendations aimed at evaluating the response of the families to the programme were discussed.
