The evening will end on a lighter note with a musical performance by Sahara Band. The band includes recovering drug users who will through their music throw light on the significance of engaging with the drug using community which is also part of this year's theme for the World Drug Day.

The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is celebrated every year on 26th June to commemorate the signing of the Declaration adopted at the International Conference against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on that day in 1987.  The United Nations observes the day as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve an international society free of drug abuse.
