New Delhi, India: Workshop on “Countering Use of Internet for Terrorist Purposes” for South Asian Countries

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is organizing a regional workshop titled "Countering Use of Internet for Terrorist Purposes" for South Asian Countries. The workshop will bring together experts from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka to exchange experiences with regard to countering the use of the internet for terrorist purposes.
The three-day workshop will address three main areas: (i) legislative actions, policies and prosecution issues (ii) cooperation with national, regional, international and private-sector partners (iii) investigation of cases and prevention strategies.
The workshop will provide international expertise, while at the same time country delegations will contribute their experiences in specific areas.
