May 21, 2012 - May 23, 2012
As part of the ongoing Global Fund Round 9 India Injecting Drug Users (IDU) Project Hifazat activities, UNODC is organising a Training of Trainers (ToT) on 'Management of Comorbid Conditions among Injecting Drug Users' in Delhi.
The focus of this ToT is to create a cadre of master trainers for capacity building of health care providers on issues of co-occurring mental illnesses and infectious diseases among the IDUs. The participants are eminent doctors working among drug users, as well as psychiatrists specifically engaged with drug use and de-addiction programs in the country. Most of them also have significant experience in training of clinical staff. The training is being facilitated by Dr. Suresh Kumar, an internationally acclaimed expert on injecting drug use and related health issues.
