The Global Firearms Programme participated in a second national coordination meeting on the implementation of the regional Roadmap to counter firearms trafficking in Serbia

On 9 November 2019, the Global Firearms Programme in the 2 nd National Coordination Meeting on the implementation of the Roadmap for countering firearms trafficking in the Western Balkans, which was held in Belgrade, Serbia.  The objective of the meeting was to review the progress achieved under the Roadmap in the period January - June 2019 and inform about the forthcoming events. national counterparts, partners and donors about future activities to support the implementation of the Roadmap.

 

The Global Firearms Programme (GFP) shared information about its activities in Serbia and informed about its plans to support the review of the criminal legislation and its harmonization with the UN Firearms Protocol as well as to work with the criminal justice experts to counter illicit firearms trafficking.
