This report provides consolidated up-to-date information on the current patterns and trends on the illicit manufacture, trafficking and use of amphetamine-type stimulants. It details the situations in 15 countries in East and South-East Asia and the Pacific (Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Viet Nam) and contains overviews of South Asia and the Pacific Island States and territories.
The report was prepared by the UNODC Global Synthetics Monitoring: Analyses, Reporting and Trends (SMART) Programme which works with Governments in the region to collect and share information and to support authorities in their efforts to improve the ability to respond to the law enforcement and public health challenges posed by synthetic drugs.... more
