Piracetam in Drug Abuse

Abstract

A 4-page article on piracetam. In the mid-1980s a substance which turned out to be piracetam was detected in samples of street drug heroin. The identification of this substance was carried out with the application of gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, I.R. and U.V., and nuclear magnetic resonance spectrophotometry.
