The The Global Programme for Combating Wildlife and Forest Crime/Sustainable Livelihood Unit (GP/SLU) headquarters team provides strategic advice and assistance to country and regional offices in the implementation of activities, as well as, in some circumstances, undertake the delivery of specific activities such as training. Additionally, the team collaborates closely with other HQ colleagues to utilise in-house expertise, resources and infrastructures to ensure effective coordination in developing an integrated UNODC approach to combat WLFC.

GP/SLU team works on developing close partnerships and coordinate with other UN agencies and international organizations focusing on WLFC, including inter alia, CITES, INTERPOL, WCO, World Bank, WWF and other NGOs. In addition, the team liaises with other relevant agencies and regional organizations with a view to establish new partnerships and cooperation as the Programme expands its scope to new geographical areas.
