The Global Programme for Combating Wildlife and Forest Crime team at UNODC Headquarters provides strategic advice and assistance to country and regional offices in the implementation of activities. The team collaborates closely with other HQ colleagues to utilize in-house expertise, resources and infrastructure to ensure effective coordination in developing an integrated UNODC approach to combat wildlife and forest crime.

The team has developed close partnerships and coordinates with other UN agencies and international organizations focusing on wildlife and forest crime, including inter alia, CITES, INTERPOL, WCO, World Bank, Traffic and other NGOs. In addition, the team liaises with other relevant agencies and regional organizations with a view to establish new partnerships and cooperation as the Programme expands its scope to new geographical areas.
