Launch of the UNODC/TPB Technical Assistance Tool on "The Use of the Internet for Terrorist Purposes"

Pursuant to the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (A/RES/60/288) unanimously adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in September 2006, Member States undertook to work with the United Nations to explore ways and means to coordinate efforts at the international and regional levels to counter terrorism in all its forms and manifestations on the Internet. Afghanistan: In-depth Country Programme

As part of its efforts to support the government of Afghanistan to offer an effective, rule of law-based response to terrorism, UNODC's Terrorism Prevention Branch has been strengthening its provision of counterterrorism-related legal technical assistance to the country since 2004. MORE>

UNODC's Counter-Terrorism Learning Platform

Launched in February 2011, the UNODC Counter-Terrorism Learning Platform has developed into a fully integrated interactive tool, training criminal justice officials from around the world in the fight against terrorism. MORE>
