Vietnamese anti-drug poster publication from UNODC Viet Nam.
|
An 85-page bilingual [English/Vietnamese] publication that depicts 85 different
anti-drug posters painted by young Vietnamese artists as part of Vietnam's anti-drug campaign. An introductory section discusses poster painting and its various uses in Vietnamese society and the messages they are portraying to the public. The symbolic language displayed in the posters are also explained and discussed in this interesting publication. Based on traditional socialist propaganda styles, the posters combine strong graphics and expressive messages. The posters provide a unique opportunity to view a contemporary art form much practised and well recognised throughout Vietnam.
People interested in the publication should contact the UNODC Viet Nam Country Office.
