The Overall Objective is to build drug-interdiction capacities at 10 selected international airports in West Africa, Morocco and Brazil. In doing so, the project will establish Joint Airport Interdiction Task Forces (JAITF) and connect them to international law enforcement databases and communication networks to enable the transmission in real time to other international airports of operational information aimed at intercepting illicit shipments. The project will also promote intelligence and information sharing between services at national and international level as well as an intelligence-led approach to countering drug trafficking
